I don't think she's had work done. SHe is much slimmer in the second picture and has better makeup. I suspect she was pregnant in the first pic.
she's always been heavy but lately she is quite slim. i DO think she's had a nose job just to remove a little humpiness from it, but i don't think she's had her eyes done, i think you are just seeing a lack of makeup.

The 'Before' picture appears to be a shot from during the promotion of 'Titanic', whereas the 'After' picture is a shot from 'Sense and Sensibility' - approximately two years earlier. If anything, it demonstrates how the extra weight she was carrying altered her facial appearance, and not surgery.

Kate hasn't had any plastic surgery. She was younger and a tad heavier in the first picture, and weight can and often does make your features look different. The first picture was taken during Titanic's heyday, and the second is a promo shot from Finding Neverland, not Sense and Sensibility like an another poster said.
I mean, come one, the after picture was taken earlier than the before picture! Can you at least get that part right?

I don't think she did anything on her face... she just looks much more natural and beautiful with that kind of make up. She is lovely :)
One photo is for a movie cover shoot, and the lighting has defined her nose. The shadowing is different, she is in character and she has lost weight in the second photo. Of course she hasn't had anything done.
Nope it's a case of being older & thinner.You lose baby fat asyou get old. Making the face get thinner. Also the second picture is a photo shoot with goodlighting and make-up.
I don't think she's had plastic surgery, she's like a yo-yo where she's gone up and down in size and i think in the first picture she looks different because she's much slimmer now (in the "After" pic) as she was in the first picture. Also her eyes look like a different colour because of the shadow.
Last point: People change as they get older, the first pic was taken when Winslet was in her late teens maybe early 20's, and the second when she was in her late 20's.
'like a yoyo', this isn't a weight debate you prats. Kate has obviously not had anything done to her face, its one of her major assets, and its perfect, so why would she? She isn't a hag in need of it like the rest of hollywood.
Kate has not had plastic surgery. She has aged, as do we all, and as you age, your face and your body change. I don't look the same as I did when I was 23 and I haven't had any plastic surgery done. My nose doesn't look exactly the same as it did when I was in high school (I think it got bigger, darn it). The lighting is different in the two pictures, the make up is different, the angle at which she's holding her head is different. Heck, even the shape of her eyebrows is different. The play of light and shadow on the face can make you look different, even if nothing about you has changed. And, I take issue with the poster who says Kate has always been heavy. She is NOT heavy. She is built like a woman and chooses not to starve herself to fit the Hollywood stick figure ideal. I applaud her and think she's a great role model for women. She's happy with who she is and makes no apologies for it. We could all learn a thing or two from Kate.

I think it's obvious that the Finding Neverland picture has been airbrushed, hence giving her a slimmer nose.
I think kate winslet is beautiful, and from what i can see, she has lost weight, and her face expression is different in each photo. It makes a big difference to your face if you are smiling or not... My nose looks different when i smile, does not mean iv had a nose job !

The second picture is from the film "Finding Neverland"'s publicity shots (and is used as the cover of the film dvd). The first picture was taken at a premiere several years ago before Titanic came out (pre 1997). So I would suggest maybe using two non retouched photos to compare, seeing as how ALL publicity photos are heavily retouched - especially the photos that are used as cover art for the film.
However regardless of the photos you use, the statement is still the same Kate has not had any work done - she has simply lost weight and dyed her hair.
She doesn't look like she had anything done. It's just because she is slimmer now than before and that makes her look a little different. I had friends whose facial appearance changed when they got slimmer. So the extra fats that Kate had before are now gone including the fats on her face. That's a fact.

Look at the angle of the first one. Her head is raised up a little bit-It looks like she's talking to someone. In the second one, she's obviously posing for a photoshoot and her head is NOT slightly raised like in the before picture.
No, absolute no way has Kate had surgery. I look back on photos of me even 3 or four years ago, and my nose appears broad and pudgy. Now, normally it doesn't but depending on lighting and angles, it can still take this shape. I don't believe Kate has had anything done, it's simply a result of her cheeks and face slimming wih her weight. If you notice, the bone and cartilage itself has not changed at all, it is the areas arround it that have slimmed down.
I think she's had plastic surgery done. Her whole facial structure looks different to me. I sort of miss her old face, but that's just the way of the industry. I'd probably do the same.
She also suffers from acne
XD oh god she's just slimer in the second picture + the pictures are tken from diffrent views and the second photo was probably taken from a profesional. You can't just compare 2 complety diffrent pictures, if you know what I mean XD.
And people if you lose weight your face gets slimer 2 you know XD.

I think it's just a result of weight loss. It really doesn't look like plastic surgery. Plus, her face is at a different angle.
Its obvious that the picture on the left is a candid shot, and the one on the right is not..so it was most likely airbrushed and touched up like EVERY photo taken these days. I think its just a matter of one is touched up with an editing program. I don't think she has had surgery, because I think she looks more like the picture on the left in real life, without any touch ups.
